Kovada II HEPP (Hydroelectric Power Plant)

General Information

The annual average power production in the Kovada I-II Hydroelectric Power Plants was realized as 80,000,000 kWh as a result of the maintenance, repair and improvement works carried out by BATIENERJI after 2011, compared to the average annual power production of 35,000,000 kWh before 2011.
The entire annual energy consumption of the Eğirdir district and 8% of the annual energy consumption of Isparta province are met with the aforementioned average power production.

Technical information

  • It is located in the Aşağı Gökdere village of Eğirdir district of Isparta province.
  • Its operating rights have been granted by BATIENERJİ for the period between December 7th, 2011 and December 7th, 2060.
  • It was commissioned in 1971.
  • Its installed capacity is 51.2 MW.
  • It has been built as two units with each having an installed capacity of 25,60 MW.
  • It runs on Pelton type vertical axis turbines.
  • Its net head is 384.0 meters and its project flow rate is 8.00 m³/h.
  • It produces an average of 60,000,000 kWh of electricity annually.
